On the 19th September we took part in the Horsforth Mile a Day challenge . Each class took part and added together their laps and as a school we ran a massive 191 miles. Together the Horsforth Schools ran 1865 miles....the equivalent of running to London 10 times!
In the summer term we have lots of activities planned and festivals to attend. We are entering our very first swimming gala, cricket with Y4 and Y5, 7-a-side football,trigolf at Cookridge Golf Club, Wake Up and Shake Up competition for KS1 and KS2, and an athletics event at Beckett University. We have 2 sports days in July and boxercise workshop for all the staff and children. Watch out for the photographs.

We took part in the NW Leeds Wake Up and Shake Up Festival at Benton Park. We were delighted to come second in both the KS1 and KS2 event!

Sport Relief.... we set out to see how far we could run as a school ...238 miles/502658 steps! We were joined on the day by Ronnie the Rhino who joined in with our skipping challenge and we also entertained the BBC Look North Team on their Sofa Challenge!

We started 2016 by participating in a Futsal competition! We won all our games in the qualifying rounds!
2015 was a busy sporting year at Featherbank! We entered lots of competitions, went for coaching sessions and had students working with us in school!

Year 4 took part in a Sainsbury's World Cup Football Festival! We were Team Mexico! We made it through to the quarter finals, only to be knocked out on sudden death penalties!
Year 6 girls won their heat to play in the Leeds Hi 5 finals at St.Mary's Menston!
Children from years 4, 5 and 6 took part in a Cross Country event in Otley!
Year 4 children visited Ilkley Tennis club! They enjoyed some tennis coaching and watched an Aegon Tennis match!
