School Dinners, Menus and other food
In line with the healthy eating agenda, our school dinners consist of more freshly prepared food and adhere to the Government’s recommended national nutritional guidelines.
Children are given a choice of main course and a hot or cold dessert or piece of fruit. A copy of the weekly menu is displayed on the school notice board. Weather permitting the children play outside after lunch where they are supervised by midday supervisory assistants.
School dinners are now free for all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. The charge for a school meal for children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 is £2.40 per day. Payment for meals should be made online through ParentPay where you can regularly check your account balance. Parents will be asked to provide their child/children with a packed lunch if the account is three weeks in arrears.
If you feel you may be entitled to Free School Meals please contact Leeds Revenues and Benefits Service on 0113 2224404 or visit https://www.leeds.gov.uk/residents/children-families-and-carers/schools-and-learning/free-school-meals
Fruit and Veg Scheme
A piece of fruit is provided free of charge for all KS1 children on a daily basis at morning break.
We encourage all our children to drink water throughout the day. Drinking water is freely available and parents are asked to supply their child’s plastic water bottle.
