Trip to Harlow Carr Gardens

Box 2B Fit

We have looked at a range of animals and classified these into different groups. The children have learnt about omnivores, carnivores and herbivores.

Who eats who?

Year 2 have been learning about food chains. We have looked at predators and prey as well as producers and consumers.

We have studied the work of Van Gogh focusing on his Sunflowers painting. We looked at how to create our tints and shades in order to paint our own version. We mixed yellow with white and red to create different shades. We then practiced sketching out the sunflowers ensuring we thought about the spacing on our page. We then used our different shades to paint the sunflowers we had sketched.
