Happy day before Friday everyone!

I’ve made a slight change to the approach to Phonics teaching. We’ll be going right back to the beginning of phase 2, looking at one grapheme/phoneme a day to consolidate our learning so we can be ready to dive straight into phase 3 once we’re back in school. Even if your child is beyond this now, it’s still a good idea to consolidate prior learning. You can stretch them by asking them to complete the suggested extended activities on page 3, or through the learning menu.

The phonics and maths lessons will be videos to watch, and during ‘leading your learning’ you can choose from the activities on the ‘Learning Menu’ if you’re stuck for some ideas. Remember, you can always explore your learning in any way that you find fun! Please send me pictures as I love seeing the things you get up to!! J

You can contact me via Tapestry between 1pm and 5pm every day. Please write a memo or observation – this will come to me as a note, and I’ll respond to you as soon as I’m able.

Thank you J

Daily Reading

Lead your learning

Find, create, explore and discover your own ideas for activities in the afternoon. Surprise me with something to do with our new topic, some craft ideas, baking, football, construction, mark making, painting, dancing…anything goes! I’d love to see what you all get up to on tapestry! If you’re stuck for ideas, take a look at the suggestions on our learning menu, or browse the list of useful websites if you have access to a tablet or computer. Remember, if it’s your show and tell day, you can upload your show and tell for me to share with the class too.

Mrs Sowden will post a link for the story tomorrow afternoon on tapestry.
