Story time

Please modify the timetable to suit you and your family!

As yesterday, the phonics and maths lessons will be videos to watch, and ‘leading your learning’ is applying their learning through their play, or fun activities! Explore the day’s learning in any way that you find fun! Soon I’ll be including a resource sheet for useful websites and links you might like, as well as a ‘Learning menu’ of suggested activities for the afternoons. You can completely ignore this if you wish, or use it to get some ideas of things to keep you busy! I’ll be changing the Learning menu every two weeks. Stay tuned!

As I’m now teaching the key worker bubble in the mornings, you can contact me on Tapestry between 1pm and 3:30pm every day. Please write a memo or observation – this will come to me as a note, and I’ll respond to you as soon as I’m able.

Thank you J

Good Morning Reception,

Happy Wednesday! It’s been so lovely to see some of you on Tapestry.

Here are some craft ideas that you could do with your family this week.

Have a lovely day!

3. Practise reading:

Play phonics games assigned to you on Bug Club Phonics. Click link here.

Comparing Numbers to 5

1: To get your brain ticking away, first count and practise your numbers with Jack Hartmann! – Click on this link.

2: Then for your lesson, watch this video all about comparing numbers to 5! Click on this link.

3. Lead your learning. Can you find objects around your home or garden to compare? I’d love to see pictures of you comparing two sets of objects, saying which has more and which has fewer! How many more? How many fewer? How do you know?

Daily Reading

Lead your learning

Find, create, explore and discover your own ideas for activities in the afternoon. Surprise me with something to do with our new topic, some craft ideas, baking, football, construction, mark making, painting, dancing…anything goes! If you’re stuck for ideas, I’m going to create a ‘learning menu’ with some suggestions of what you might like to do, so stay tuned J

Remember, if it’s your show and tell day, you can upload your show and tell for me to share with the class too.

Story time

Mrs. Sowden will post today’s story at 3pm on tapestry cool
