- Important26 June 2025Hall updateDear parents & carers, Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding while we have been navigating some challenging times in school with no access to the hall. I am delighted to announce that the hall is now fully reopened so everything can return to normal. All the usual collection and drop-off arrangements can be reinstated and the Year 6 drama performance can take place in the hall. Tomorrow we will still serve grab bags as these have already been ordered but we will return to our usual lunch menu from next week. Whilst extensive repair work is still required and we are still negotiating a longer term programme of repair with the local authority, we now have a strong catch net covering the whole ceiling in the hall and we are confident that it is now a safe place for our school community. Many thanks once again to parents, carers, staff and pupils for your resilience and support. It has been very much appreciated and testament to our wonderful school community.
- Important24 June 2025Update on HallDear parents & carers, Thank you all so much for your patience & understanding while our school hall is out of action. I am writing to inform you that we have some work starting on the hall tomorrow so the hall will be completely out of use until at least next week. This will mean that Year 3 & Year 2 will be relocating to the library and the ICT suite as a temporary measure. This will not impact Year 2 collection or drop-off arrangements taht are in place at the moment. Year 3 will be using the UKS2 gate and door tomorrow. On Thursday, Year 3 will move to the Year 4 classroom as they are out on residential. This will mean that on Thursday and Friday Year 3 will be dropped off and collected from their usual LKS2 door. Year 6 have their drama performance at 10am on Friday morning. We are still going ahead with this but the children will be performing on the grass area in the playground and not in the hall. Parents should wait by the UKS2 gate for access. You are already aware that we will not be serving hot school dinners for the rest of the week, and we thank you for your understanding regarding this. I would like to thank the staff and children for their resilience, they have all been fabulous and just got on with things, despite all the restrictions and changes. We will inform you on Friday if there are any changes that need to be implemented for next week. Many thanks once again for your patience and understanding, hopefully the end is in sight and we can return to normal!
- Important24 June 2025IMPORTANT: Changes to School LunchesDear Parents & Carers Thank you for your continued support this week as we work closely with Leeds City Council to resolve the issues in our school hall as quickly as possible. We are expecting repairs imminently and so will be offering ‘grab bags’ in place of school lunch on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday this week. The children can choose from the following menu. Sandwich choice: Cheese Ham Tuna Vegan Sausage Roll Fruit & Salad sticks Dessert choice. Leeds Catering have amended the lunch choices on School Grid to accommodate these changes for this week. It is really important that you re-order your child school lunch for the rest of this week. Kind regards School office
